Steven Bauman

Steven Bauman is AXA XL's Director of Global Programs & Captives practice, Americas. Based in New York, he oversees the growth and development of AXA XL’s global insurance programs and captive business in the Americas. Steven provides technical support across business lines in structuring global captive programs; ensures captive programs are in compliance and following best practices; and works with AXA XL clients and broking partners to develop new and innovative captive products.
Steven has more than 30 years of experience in corporate insurance and captive services on both the broker and insurance company sides of the business. He joined AXA XL in May 2017 from Zurich Insurance Group where he most recently served as Head of Captive Services. Prior to his tenure at Zurich North America, Mr. Bauman worked for Aon and before that at XL Insurance managing its New York office.
He is a graduate of Colgate University and holds a Master’s from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Prior to joining Lockton in August 2019, Devin was with Marsh for 28 years. Since January 2015, he led the financial and professional (FINPRO) group in the U.S. and Canada.

OLD REPUBLIC RISK MANAGEMENTJohn Boettcher has 36+ years of experience in the insurance industry. He currently oversees the Corporate Claim Team at Old Republic Risk Management. Prior to joining Old Republic, John was the Corporate Claims Manager for QPS Employment Group. Before that role he was a claims leader for various insurance companies, including Travelers Insurance, Royal & Sun Alliance, and Fremont Comp. His experience as a leader in the staffing and insurance industries provides insight into claims issues for both insurers and employers.
John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater, with a bachelor of business administration degree in finance and holds CPCU, AIC, and AIM insurance designations.

Rory Cline

Rory is President of Ascot Re U.S. with responsibility for all Ascot’s reinsurance solutions throughout the U.S. Prior to this, he was CEO of Ascot’s MGU, Ethos Specialty, having joined the organization at inception in 2017. Rory joined Ascot in 2009, initially serving as President of Ascot Underwriting U.S. in Chicago.
Rory began his career in primary insurance in 1982, moving in 1986 into the reinsurance space serving in senior management positions at National Re, Gen Re and CNA Re, before becoming the founding CEO of MGU, DirectFac, in 2004.

Vince Gaffigan

LOCKTON COMPANIESVincent Gaffigan leads Lockton’s Risk Consulting Practice for its Property and Casualty operations.
In this capacity, Vincent collaborates with Fortune 1000 clients to develop well- defined, multiyear strategies for managing risk. These solutions are delivered through a consulting framework and designed to support the client’s operational and financial objectives. In a rapidly changing market environment, efforts may include assistance with risk identification, evaluation of mitigation techniques, quantification of risk tolerance thresholds, and analysis of program structures. Vincent also works closely with Lockton’s client teams to engage specialized resources and provide support around market negotiations.
With over 30 years of Property and Casualty broking and underwriting experience, Vincent is well versed in most Property/Casualty rating plans, including large deductibles, self- insurance, captives, and alternate risk structures. His background spans multiple industry sectors, which he leverages for the benefit of his clients.
In 2011, Vincent was named a “Power Broker” by Risk and Insurance Magazine. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has published numerous articles on risk management challenges.

Steve Goldman
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCIAL LINES AND HEALTHCARE — CNA
Steve serves as Senior Vice President of CNA’s Financial Lines and Healthcare business units. In this role, he is responsible for the overall direction, including the strategic, operational and production plans, across these product lines. He joined CNA in 2023.
Steve brings to CNA more than 20 years of deep leadership experience in the insurance industry. He began his insurance career at AIG, joining the carrier as a Vice President, underwriting transactional risk (TR) products, including representations and warranties, and tax opinion insurance. At AIG, Steve eventually became a Senior Vice President on the Financial Institutions (FI) team, focusing on insurance companies, banks and asset managers (mutual funds and alternative strategies).
In 2008, Steve joined ACE, initially serving as Senior Vice President, leading the FI team, and eventually starting the TR team. He remained at ACE through its merger with Chubb and was responsible for the integration and leadership of the two carriers’ FI and TR units.
From July 2018 through August 2020, Steve served as Executive Vice President of Chubb Overseas General Insurance, leading the company’s financial lines business in approximately 40 countries outside of North America. Beginning in August 2020, Steve was promoted to Vice President, Chubb Group, and Division President, North America Financial Lines.
Steve holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and obtained his J.D. and LLM (Tax) from the New York University School of Law.

Deborah Hirschorn
MANAGING DIRECTOR, U.S. CYBER & TECHNOLOGY CLAIMS LEADER — LOCKTON COMPANIES
Deb leads Lockton’s Cyber & Technology Claims Practice and is responsible for supporting the cyber claims advocates in the U.S. on all cyber claim-related issues.
She works closely with her counterparts in product, risk consulting and analytics to ensure that policy language is consistently improved, that clients know about and have access to their insurers’ pre- and post-loss offerings, and that clients remain informed and apprised of industry trends and developments. She frequently speaks on panels addressing cyber exposures and risk management, including ransomware and incident response issues.
Deb has significant experience in cyber, technology errors and omissions, and miscellaneous professional liability claims. She has handled numerous complex claims, including ransomware incidents, third-party privacy class actions and business interruption matters. In addition to her claims background, Deb has extensive experience as an insurance coverage attorney.

Steve Penwright

Steve Penwright serves as Property Underwriting Technical Director for Zurich North America’s Large Property business unit. Based in San Francisco, he is responsible for the portfolio management team that provides technical underwriting support to market facing underwriters. He was credited for developing and implementing the Mental Toughness Training Program for the U.S. Navy SEALs and embedding it into their training pipeline. He is currently (for the last 7 years) a Director and the High Performance Psychologist for the Los Angeles Dodgers where he helped the team win the World Series in 2020. Through her private practice, Jenni provides voice and speech training for companies that recognize the importance of professional communication and prioritize high levels of customer care. In addition, she works one-on-one with individuals that wish to speak with greater confidence and clarity.
As part of her practice, Jenni provides support in the preparation of speeches for public appearances. Clients range from corporate leaders to motivational speakers to cultural icons including legendary NFL linebacker Ray Lewis and MLB catcher Pudge Rodriguez for whom she coached Hall of Fame Induction speeches.
Having worked extensively as a voice, speech, and dialect coach for stage, film, and television productions, Jenni has also shared her expertise with actors such as James Woods, Alexander Skarsgard, and Alicia Silverstone.
As the Voice and Speech Specialist for Barry Nash and Company, which provides services for broadcasters and sports personalities, Jenni is the current vocal coach for CNN, CBS, and ESPN.
Jenni holds a BFA from Southern Methodist University, an MFA from the University of California at San Diego, and an MS from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a licensed speech language pathologist certified by the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association and the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has served as a faculty associate at UT Southwestern’s Clinical Center for Voice Care and as a Full Sail University Guest Lecturer.

Anthony Tatulli

Anthony Tatulli is Head of Executive and Professional Lines for North America at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. Anthony has over 30 years of industry experience spanning both Underwriting and Claims. He joined BHSI in 2021; prior to joining BHSI, he served in various Claims and Underwriting positions of increasing responsibility at AIG, including Global Head of Financial Lines for Claims and Underwriting. Earlier in his career, Anthony spent eight years as a commercial litigator at the New Jersey law firm of Budd Larner; prior to that, he clerked for the Honorable Stanley R. Chesler in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Fordham University and a law degree from Seton Hall University, School of Law.

Amy Templeton, MBA, CPCU, CLCS, serves as Vice President of Risk Management & Insurance at Travel + Leisure Co. (T+L), the world’s largest publicly traded vacation ownership, timeshare exchange, and leisure travel subscription business (NYSE: TNL). She also serves as Chairwoman and President of Destinations Assurance, Inc., a captive insurance company, since it’s formation in 2019.
Templeton joined T+L, the $3.6B successor company of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation., in July of 2018, to oversee the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the Company’s comprehensive global risk management department. Additionally, and as risk manager on behalf of over 245 resorts and the +833,000 timeshare owners represented within them, she also has responsibility for ensuring adequate and consistent levels of protection for their independently owned assets & respective liabilities around the world.
Prior to joining Wyndham, Templeton led Risk Management for Penn Entertainment, a publicly traded casino and hospitality company. She has also held the roles of Director, Global Risk Management, at Hospira, Inc., a pharmaceutical and medical devices manufacturing company, Associate Director, Risk and Insurance at Mondelez International, a fortune 100 food manufacturer, and Risk Manager, for Komatsu America Corp, a global heavy equipment powerhouse. She began her career 20+ years ago on the commercial insurance brokerage side with Arthur J. Gallagher where she specialized in alternative risk transfer.
Residing near corporate headquarters in Orlando, Florida, she holds a M.B.A from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where she earned the rank of co-valedictorian, and a B.S. in Marketing with concentration of Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Illinois, where she graduated from the Honors College, Chicago Campus. She earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (AICPCU) and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designations and is credentialed by the State of Florida for both General Lines Property & Casualty (02-20) and Resident Travel Insurance (02-41) licensures.

Prior to Lockton, Adam was a Senior Managing Director in Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business. At Aon, he provided clients with analytical support, including the design and implementation of traditional and nontraditional reinsurance programs across both property and casualty lines. Recognized by Business Insurance in 2006 as one of the “Women to Watch” in the insurance industry, Lisa is known as the go-to expert on implementation of complex captive programs, from feasibility study to formation and ongoing consultation.
Since joining Lockton, Lisa has delivered sophisticated financing solutions with substantial cost savings and revenue enhancements for clients in multiple industry sectors. With her sharp mind and command in the field comes her quick smile, charismatic personality and strategic vision. Mark is the founder of the 30,000+ member Work Comp Analysis Group on Linkedin and he is also co-host of the popular Out Front Ideas with Kimberly and Mark educational series. He is a widely recognized industry expert and has been a frequent speaker at RIMS, PARMA, PRIMA, WCI and other industry conferences.

She joined Post holdings in 2016. Her previous experience includes over 20 years in risk management and 10 years in finance roles in the specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries.
Jeanie holds a BSBA in Finance from the University of Missouri – Columbia and an MBA from Wester University in St. Louis. She has served on the Advisory Board of Risk Management and Insurance program at Mizzou since the program’s inception in 2015 and previously served on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society for several years.

With over 20 years of experience, Joe is responsible for driving growth while deepening GB’s relationships with client and broker partners across the risk management industry.
He has spent his entire career at GB, and in that time has served as a Business Analyst, Sales Director, and Assistant Vice President of Business Development before moving into his current role in 2017.
Joe works closely with our product development and client services teams to enhance the service package offerings of our award-winning RMIS platform, Luminos, to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
